Description
Centring on a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 2.76 carats, framed by calibré-cut diamonds, within octagonal-shaped rock crystal edged with calibré-cut sapphires extending to the chain loop, mounted in platinum, accompanied by a white gold chain, length approximately 460 mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to a British gem report, the principle sapphire is natural, of Kashmir origin, with no indication of heat treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the sapphire is of strong, classic velvety blue colour, eye clean. Under 10x loupe, the sapphire appears clean to the interior and has only minor surface abrasions which are consistent to its age. Diamonds in the surround are probably of I to J colours, VS2 to SI clarity. Calibré-cut sapphires are of intense blue colour, lively stones. The rock crystal plate is colourless and transparent, which shows minor surface scratches upon close and careful check.
Condition: Accompanied by a link chain. A unique pendant has wear signs and abrasions to the mount, which consistent to its age, otherwise in good condition.
