Description
The pendant with an oval cabochon sapphire, weighing 33.45 carats, framed by rose-, circular- and cushion-shaped diamonds and calibré-cut sapphires, circa 1910, to a necklace set at the front with single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, length approximately 385mm.
Condition
Please note that the sapphire is accompanied by Gübelin report no. 0502004 stating that the sapphire, weighing 33.45 carats, shows no indications of heating.
The necklace is stamped 750 for gold. Solder marks at the front. The pendant, dated circa 1910, with two screw threads at the back, the central sapphire is a later addition. One prong holding the sapphire is made in yellow gold, the other three prongs are made in a white metal. Typical crystal inclusions. For further information please refer to the Gübelin report. The four larger circular-cut diamonds gauged to weigh approximately 0.75 carat each, H-I colour, SI clarity. Signs of wear to the metal, scratches commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
