(This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Conservation, Inc.) This painting is in beautiful condition. it has been recently restored and should be hung as is. The canvas is unlined and the paint layer is stable. The tacking edges have been lightly reinforced to allow for proper and safe stretching. The paint layer itself is clean and not varnished, as is appropriate, and there are no abrasions. There are a few tiny retouches in the upper right, on the center right edge and in the lower left corner. There are also a few other tiny, isolated retouches elsewhere. The painting is clearly in lovely condition and should be hung as is.
