Condition
The canvas is unlined and well stretched. Under ultraviolet light there are small spots of retouching scattered throughout the canvas. There are five spots in the background in the upper left corner, two spots in the mother's head and various smaller retouches to the body. The most significant area of inpainting is a ½ in. area in the arm near the elbow. There appears to be a slightly opaque varnish. Overall in good and stable condition.
