Oil on canvas. Surface is slightly dirty and covered with a light layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is a small stain and abrasion to the paint layer in the center of the picture, near the woman's elbow. There are also very minor brown stains and some minor paint loss on the blue sofa below the girl's arm. There are some white stains and scratches in the upper left corner and lower left corner, as well as along the bottom of the canvas. There is minor craquelure. There is a very small .5 cm spot of paint loss on the woman's shoulder where the canvas appears to show. Under UV certain pigments fluoresce but the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a wood silver painted frame with plaster molding. Unexamined out of frame.
