Condition

Executed on wove paper laid down on canvas. There is a layer of varnish on the surface. There is a three inch long vertical line of surface abrasion near lower left corner, with associated loss. Pigment loss as well in light green pigments along bottom edge. A few areas of paint shrinkage in peach colored pigments. On reverse, stamped Atelier Georges Rouault and signed Isabelle Rouault. Under UV light: a few specks of inpainting to address losses at lower left, othewise fine. Work is in stable condition.
