Condition
Oil on lined canvas. Surface is covered with a yellowed layer of varnish and a light layer of surface dirt. There is craquelure in places and flakes of pigment have been lost, notably to the sky and upper left, as well as the field at lower left. This work has been professionaly restored and under UV some repairs are visible, particularly to the upper sky, though the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. As the paint layer continues to lift in a few places we recommend consultation with a restorer. Held in a brown and gold painted wood frame with plaster molding, unexamined out of frame.
