• cal. 27-400 AM nickel lever movement stamped twice with the seal of Geneva, 18 jewels, free-sprung Gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, dust cover • silvered dial, applied Arabic 12 o'clock and elongated baton indexes thrughout, subsidiary seconds • circular case, large straight lugs, screw back • case, dial and movement signed • with a stainless steel Gay Frères bamboo-style stainless steel bracelet
Condition
The movement is running, however it might require service soon. The dial has some discoloration, possibly from moisture, near 3 o'clock. Otherwise there are some light surface spots throughout. Overall the dial is very nice and clean. The case shows general wear with light surface scuffs throughout and particularly to the outside of the back. The bracelet is in nice condition and is nicely stamped 'GF' for Gay Frères. The Extract notes that the watch originated with a leather strap.

Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1970 and sale on July 23rd of that year. Together with a Gay Frères bamboo-style stainless steel bracelet.
Cal. 12"'AM-400, Patek Phiippe's first amagnetic movement, debuted in the 1958. It was fitted with a gold lever so that it could withstand and maintain accuracy near high magnetic fields.
