Catalogue Note

In 1912, Louis Cartier conceived of mystery clocks which became one of Cartier's most famous inventions as they trick the viewer by creating an optical illusion.  The dial of the current clock is visible by reflection through a series of crystal prisms which can only be seen from certain angles.
