Catalogue Note

The total diamond weight is approximately 18.89 carats.

Accompanied by a Cartier presentation box with an outer card box.

The collection, La Doña de Cartier was launched in 2006 as a tribute to the Mexican actress María Félix.  The collection is inspired by a legendary tale of the starlet, who arrived at the Cartier boutique in Paris on Rue de la Paix with a bowl of pet crocodiles.  She desired and commissioned a necklace made in the form of her favorite animal.

In La Doña de Cartier's iconic style, this impressive lady's diamond wristwatch evokes the wild curves of a crocodile.  Its trapezoidal case extends like the reptile's head from bold, interlocking white gold links flexing with 624 princess and brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing 18.89 carats.  This magnificent piece embodies the spirit of La Doña de Cartier, fiery and sumptuous.  It has never been offered at auction, providing a rare opportunity for collectors.
