Condition

Movement running but not smoothly while cataloguing, as one of the balance wheels stops and starts and will need to be serviced. Crown at 5 o'clock for reset zero function is not working properly and will need attention. Dial looks nice and clean. Case and buckle with superficial scuffs from light wear but can be polished off easily. Overall appears in very good condition. **The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information**.

Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a F.P. Journe Guarantee Card, Instruction Manual and a presentation box with outer card box.

The Chronomètre à Resonance embodies F.P. Journe's passion for horological principles and techniques.  This wristwatch acheives chronometer precision through the principle of resonance.  Twin independent oscillators partially average the variations in rate, as they move in opposite directions.  In case of a disturbance, one balance wheel will slow down, while the other accelerates.  This phenomenon is only possible with precise synchronization of the two balances within 5 seconds per day accumulated in 6 positions.
