- A gold and enamel quarter repeating á toc verge watch together with another small gold and enamel verge watchcirca 1770
- diameter: 44.5 mm & 29.5 mm
• the first: gilt full plate verge movement signed Edelynne, Paris • white enamel dial, Roman numerals, Arabic outer, paste-set hands • gold case, the back centred with a polychrome enamel painted domestic scene, pulse piece within the bezel • the second: gilt full plate verge movement signed Waltrin, Paris • white enamel dial, Roman numeral, Arabic outer • gold case, polychrome enamel case back depicting horsemen in a landscape, enamel bezel depicting similar landscape scenes
Condition
Edelynne watch: Movement is not running, chain is not connected to fusee. It does appear to be complete though. Enamel dial with damage to the edge between 1 and 2 o'clock. Enamel scene to case back scuffed and worn, enamel panels to bezel are damaged and there have been some attempts at restoration.
Waltrin watch: Movement is not running, will require an overhaul. Enamel dial with chips around the winding hole, hairline crack at 10 o'clock. Case with damage next to the release catch to the bezel. Enamel back and bezel are in good condition.
