  • Three gold and enamel verge watchescirca 1770
  • diameters: 44.5 mm, 30.5 mm & 31.5 mm
• each with signed gilt full plate verge movements • white enamel dials, Roman numerals, Arabic outer • two with polychrome enamel painted scenes after paintings by Boucher depicting an interior scene of a mother feeding her baby, the other depicting 'The Art of Painting'

Condition

Romilly watch: The movement is running but would benefit a service. Enamel dial with some damage around the winding hole. Enamel to case back is in good condition, there is some damage to the enamel decoration on the bezel by the bow. Anonymous watch: The movement is not running, later added balance bridge. Enamel dial with damage around the winding hole. Enamel scene to case back with restoration to the top left hand side. Damage also to the floral enamel decoration around the bezel. Joly: The movement is not running, missing minute wheel. Enamel dial with a small hairline crack at 6, missing minute hand. The dial is not secure. The enamel back with a large area of restoration to the bottom left hand corner.
