• cal.12-600 automatic nickel lever movement stamped with the seal of Geneva, 30 jewels, gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, 18k gold rotor • white enamel dial, applied baton numerals, subsidiary seconds • 18k yellow gold case with stepped bezel and screw-down back • case, dial and movement signed • 18k yellow gold PP link bracelet, Extract from the Archives

Condition

Movement running on the day of cataloguing. Enamel dial with small hairline crack to the left side of the baton numeral at 5 o'clock extending to the edge of the dial. There are some small scratches to the subsidiary seconds dial and between 11 and 12 o'clock. Case and bracelet have been gently polished. Although the Extract from the Archives notes that this watch was originally supplied with a leather strap but the present bracelet is from the same period and by Patek Philippe. Length overall of the bracelet is 190mm.

Catalogue Note

Reference 2526, first manufactured in 1953, was the first self-winding wristwatch made by Patek Philippe. The model is favoured for its highly efficient automatic movement and classic white enamel dial.
