- AN UNUSUAL YELLOW GOLD, ENAMEL AND JEWELLED BANGLE BRACELET WITH A MINIATURE GOLD AND ENAMEL WATCHCIRCA 1850
- diameter 21 mm
• 8''' gilt cylinder movement, gold cuvette, gilt-metal balance • white enamel dial, Roman numerals, back engraved with arabesques and centred by blue enamel scrolls, fitted within a bangle, masked by a spring-loaded fan of five fins enamelled with putti and scrolls, restored, the whole held in a lady's hand, her index finger with a diamond ring and sleeve decorated with blue and white enamel bordered with rubies and emeralds, the base of the fan set with graduating pearls, the fan further joined by a chain of gold balls holding the chain, the ball pavé with pearls and rubies, the bangle engraved with scrolling foliage and partly fluted
Condition
Movement not running on the day of the cataloguing and we would recommend an overhaul. Enamel dial lightly damaged at 3 o'clock where the screw holds the dial. There are some tiny little spotting/scuffs to the dial, but this is minor. Also the glass is plastic and is chipped at 7 o'clock. Gold bangle bracelet with restored soft enamel panels covering the watch.
