Description
- A gold, enamel and pearl-set pair cased cylinder clock watch made for the Turkish Marketcirca 1800 no 25719
- diameter 58 mm
• gilt full plate cylinder movement, signed and numbered, pierced and engraved balance cock, striking on a bell inside case back • signed and numbered cuvette • white enamel dial, Turkish numerals, seed pearl-set hands • case with green, turquoise and red enamel decoration, the back with blue enamel over engine turning and centred with a polychrome enamel still life of flowers, surrounded by split pearls, bezel also split pearl-set
Condition
Movement will just run but in need of a clean and overhaul. The striking train is fully wound and not operating at present. Dial with some small scratches and some minor/very small chips to the edge of the dial; small hairline to edge of dial between 3 and 4 o'clock, further small hairline above 2 o'clock. Inner case in good overall condition retaining clear engine turning and piercing. One small indentation to the pierced edge. The pendant stem appears to have a solder repair to it where it joins the case. Outer case apepars to be in good overall condition, there is some scratching to the central floral enamel panel and some minor scratching to some enamel panels.
