The movement is running however it might require service soon. The dial is in nice condition and is a Mark II version. The black color has held up well and has not turned very 'chocolate' yet. The case shows general wear with surface scuffs and wear throughout. The ouside of the back shows wear and scuffs. Overall the case is in good condition. The numbers between the lugs are1665 and 1760311; the numbers inside the back are 1665 and 311 and IV.67. The tie tag, certificates and bill of sale are all numbered with the proper number 1760311.

By 1967, Rolex renumbered the Submariner Ref. 5514 as the Ref. 1665 and began to market it as the first Sea-Dweller model to amateur and hobbyist divers around the world. It was ultimately tested and approved for depths down to 2000 feet, or roughly 610 meters.

The first generation of this reference featured 'Sea-Dweller Submariner 2000' in red printing. As these dials were in production for a limited period of time, they are much more collectible in the market today.
