Description

  • AN 18K PINK GOLD AUTOMATIC SWEEP SECONDS WRISTWATCH WITH BLUE ENAMEL DIAL CIRCA 1958 REF 6285
  • diameter 33 mm
* jeweled automatic movement * dial with blue enamel center, pink chapter ring, sweep center seconds * bezel calibrated with 5-minute divisions, screw-down crown, screw back * case, dial and movement signed * 14k gold unsigned buckle

Condition

The movement is running while cataloguing, however it should be cleaned and serviced as it does wind smoothly. The dial has a small hairline between 10 and 11 o'clock as well as some crackling to the finish throughout. The signature and printing of 'Oyster Perpetual' is discolored and rather faint. The blue color is lovely, however, and it has a nice overall look. The case is in nice condition overall. The bezel retains its engine-turned calibrations very niceley and the lugs are thick and nice. The inside of the case is numbered 6285 (6284 is visible and has been crossed out). From the outside the back appears concave as it has been slightly pushed in over the years from wear. The numbers between the lugs are 6285 and 838329.
