Catalogue Note

Rolex produced a very limited series of this model, Ref. 3529, from 1939 until 1942. At the time it was being made, it was the smallest chronograph available by this or any firm.

At the time of its production, rectangular and square watches were very popular, but as tastes changed, so did case designs. As a result, this remains one of the few vintage rectangular chronograph models.

For similar examples of this model, see Patrizzi, O. Rolex: Collecting Modern and Vintage Wristwatches, Vol. 1, pp. 98-99.
