- AN UNUSUAL 18K YELLOW GOLD RECTANGULAR TOP-WOUND WRISTWATCH CIRCA 1932 MARINE REF OT 680
* cal. 19.4 circular manual wind movement, 17 jewels * Breguet numerals * water-resistant-type patented two-part case construction secured by a clasp, banded ends * case, dial and movement signed * with an associated 14k yellow gold bracelet
Condition
The movement is not running and will need to be serviced. It is numbered 7349931. The dial is original, however it has some spots to it. Overall it has a nice look and is in nice condition considering the age. The case is overall in nice condition with surface scuffs throughout and is numbered 8376330. The inner glass over the dial is lacking. The outer clasp is also marked 30, corresponding to the last two digits of the case number on the inside of the exterior case back. The 14k gold bracelet is in nice condition.

Omega confirms production of this watch and sale to the United States 26 May 1932.
Created in 1932, the Omega Marine's novel case construction made it the first water-resistant rectangular wristwatch model as well as the first diving watch of any shape. The design was so effective that Cartier used it for their early étanche models.
