- A LARGE 18K PINK GOLD OPEN-FACED WATCH IN 18TH CENTURY STYLE CASE1891 MVT 92438 CASE 209221

Condition
The movement is running, however it may require service soon. The dial is very nice with no visible loss or hairlines to the enamel. The Extract specifies that the hands are Louis XV-style and that the numerals are in gold, as the outer seconds tracking and subsidiary numbers are. The case is in nice condition with only some light surface scuffs.

Catalogue Note
It is interesting to note the engraving 'Pat Jan 13, 1891' on the central bridge of this watch. This refers to the American patent for the bridge layout in the movement. In addition to this, the cam-wheel regulator and three gold train wheels featured on this watch are technical specifications reminiscent of the fine watches created by Patek Philippe for Gondolo & Labouriau of Brazil.
