Condition
Single panel is flat and beveled on all four sides. Three vertical wooden strips are attached to the verso of the panel for reinforcement. A small loss to the panel is present in the lower left corner. Discolored retouching is visible along a crack which runs horizontally along the bottom of the panel, approximately ten inches across. U.V. light reveals a thick, milky varnish which may render most retouching largely imperceptible, although small, pin-dot repairs are visible throughout most of the composition. Certain areas in the upper right background, as well as the drapery of the seated figures in the lower left corner appear thin in places, probably due to rubbing over time. Despite minor scratches and rubbing, mostly along the edges, the painting is in overall good quality and retains its original freshness.
