Catalogue Note

Yaacov Yemini was born in Jerusalem in 1929 and began his studies in the metalwork department of the "New Bezalel" in 1947, under the direction of Yehuda Wolpert and David Gumbel. There, Yemini absorbed innovative German design principals and combined this with his Yemenite influences to find a universal language absorbing both traditions.
