Description

Marquise-shaped, square-cut and old European-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 15.45 carats, mounted in platinum, length 7 1/4 inches, numbered 1538, one emerald missing and one chipped. 

Condition

As noted, there is one emerald missing and another significantly chipped. In otherwise good condition with general wear to the mounting. Gold solder to the tongue clasp, possibly a later addition. Set with 3 marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately .45, 1.05 and .45 carats, 2 square-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, and 344 old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 12.50 carats. Diamonds are predominantly G-I color, VS clarity with some J color, SI clarity examples. The emeralds are medium green; decorative quality, some with abrasions. Fitted with a safety chain. From the same private collection as lot 95.
