Ruby and diamond ring

The oval cabochon ruby weighing 14.15 carats, tapered baguette diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, mounted in platinum, size 5 1/2, numbered 5-1295.

Flanked by 6 tapered baguette diamonds approximately G-H color and VS clarity. The ruby is a medium slightly pinkish red color and is moderately included, with a couple of small bruises at the surface. In good condition. This ring, along with the emerald ring offered as lot 231, were part of a collection of jewelry acquired from the 1930s to the 1950s. This ring was believed to have been acquired around 1950.
