Ruby and diamond ring

The round mixed cut ruby weighing approximately 2.70 carats, inset within a ribbed band pavé-set with small round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.70 carats, mounted in platinum, size 5½. 

In good general condition. The shank bearing nicks commensurate with regular wear. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 39623 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin; heat enhancement: none. The medium purplish pink ruby is a shade deeper than indicated by the catalogue illustration. Heavily included with a surface-reaching fracture and a chip at the girdle. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity.
