Catalogue Note
The crest is that of the Wildman family of Chilham Castle, Kent and Newstead Abbey, Nottinghamshire.
Four additional plates from this series, including a pair with views of Chilham Castle were sold at Sotheby's, London, December 12, 1967, lots 164 and 166; six with views of England and France were sold at Christie's East, New York, June 5, 1984, lot 187; and a pair, one with a view of the Horse Guards in London, the other with the troops at Waterloo, were sold in these rooms, October 9, 1990, lot 430.
