Condition
The carcass of later date, the panels early 18th century. With age and construction cracks. Lifting, losses, cracks and fading to tortoiseshell inlay. Some areas with losses to tortoiseshell now with later paint, adhesive and later tortoiseshell inlay. Rubbing and losses to ebonized surfaces, some areas with later paint. Lifting, losses, oxidation and surface dirt to brass inlay. Brass molding on front lacking but present. Brass and ormolu mounts with rubbing, oxidation and surface dirt. Ormolu masks on front regilt. Ormolu mounts on feet and apron circa 1760. The interior reinforced. In otherwise sound overall condition.
