With some rubbing, traces of oxidation and surface dirt. One slightly bent upward at arm and deformed to a more oval shape. In otherwise good overall condition.

Members of the Chibout family of bronziers are recorded active in Paris during the first half of the 19th century. A pair of candelabra stamped Chibout was sold in these rooms May 16, 2004, lot 124 and illustrated J. Bourne, Lighting in the Domestic Interior, p. 155.
