Condition
Illustration is slightly too green. The model is really unusual and in good condition. The structure is solid, the seatrails and feet in fine condition.
The marquise has been entirely regilt. The gilding with patina and wear in place.
Very confortable and quite wide model. Attractive movement of arm supports.
Upholstery in very good condition.

Catalogue Note
La forme très particulière des montants et du dossier se retrouve de manière encore plus accentuée sur une bergère Louis XVI illustrée dans M. Jarry, Le siège Français , 1973, pl. 183 et 185. Une autre bergère, reproduite pl. 184 présente le même enroulement sur l'accotoir tandis que la ceinture est sculptée d'entrelacs.
