L'esquisse en terre cuite de la Rêveuse figurait à la vente Carpeaux en 1894 (musée des Beaux Arts de Boulogne), le plâtre est conservé au musée du Petit Palais (no.inv.PPS 1606).
L'édition posthume en bronze par le fondeur Hébrard a été limitée à quinze exemplaires, l'épreuve n° 6 est repertoriée dans les archives Hébrard, exécutée en mai 1933.
