Condition
Good condition overall. There appears to be a minor restoration to the edge of her ear. A few inclusions can be seen to the background of the marble relief.

Graveur et médailleur d'origine suisse, Antoine Bovy fit son apprentissage dans l'atelier d'orfèvrerie de son père avant d'entrer dans l'atelier de James Pradier en 1824. Il est l'auteur de nombreuses médailles commémoratives mais aussi de médaillons comme le portrait de Frédéric Chopin (collection privée).
