- Aiguière et son bassin en argent par Jean-Charles Fauche, Paris, 1755-1756
- Les armoiries sont celles de la famille de la Pierre de la Valette, du Languedoc, probablement pour Jean de la Pierre, écuyer, conseiller secrétaire du Roi (14 septembre 1716, 22 juillet 1794).

Literature
Une aiguière similaire par le même orfèvre, de 1754, figure dans les collections du musée de Montréal (Canada). Un ensemble très proche a figuré dans la vente Tajan, Drouot, 23 juin 1998, n° 107.
Une toilette complète aux armes des comtes de Marcellus par cet orfèvre, datant de 1749-1750, fait partie des collections du musée des Arts décoratifs de Bordeaux.
Condition
Bon état général. Rayures d'usage, quelques bosses mineures, l'aiguière avec 2 petites bosses. Poinçons: Sous l'aiguière, orfèvre identifiable, sur le piédouche, décharge très lisible, couvercle charge identifiable, traces d'autres poinçons.
Le bassin traces de poinçons. Bel ensemble.
Overall good condition. Wear commensurate with age, some small dents, two small dents to the ewer. fully marked, basin with traces of mark only. Lovely example
