- Une paire de vases couverts et leurs présentoirs, similaire à ceux présentés ici, par l'orfèvre Powing, fin du XVIIIe siècle, est illustrée dans Alan Marlowe, Chinese Export Silver, Londres, 1990, p. 63. Pour une paire de boîtes en filigrane d'argent présentant un décor de fleurs assez proche, voir The Chan collection, Chinese Export Silver, Singapour, 2005, n° 66.

chacun, le présentoir de forme mouvementée, le bord en filigrane orné de fleurs et rinceaux, le vase de forme balustre presque totalement recouvert de filigrane au même décor, dans un coffret rectangulaire postérieur en velours vert estampé Bulgari
Provenance
Collection Bulgari, Rome, où ces boîtes étaient considérées comme portugaises vers 1750.
Condition
The stands in good condition, the vases (probably tea caddies) with some bits missing (flowers and leaves missing on the neck friezes, one flower missing on a cover, some leaves missing on both covers).
Unmarked.
As the similar pair by Powing, illustrated in Chinese Export Silver, is late 18th century, it is very possible that the pair here presented is from the same period, but, as they are not marked, it is difficult to be absolutely sure.
