Bologniel-Présidant fut apprenti chez le fabricant de boîtes François-Nicolas Génard le 23 août 1766, ce dernier se portant caution lorsqu'il devint maître tenant boutique à la Cour Neuve du Palais le 13 mai 1778. Son adresse reste la même jusqu'en 1793.
