un des plats gravé Des Glaubens Krafft an Jessum Shrift An Liebens Wercken kanntlich ist, ce qui peut être traduit par La force de la foi en l'oeuvre de Jésus se montre dans les bonnes oeuvres, autour d'un médaillon ovale représentant un personnage drapé de soleil et tenant une lettre, une femme et ses deux enfants à ses côtés, l'autre plat gravé d'une femme rencontrant un homme portant un joug entouré de l'inscription Gedult und Hofnung in der Zeit streut Freuden Saat Ewigkeit (Patience et espoir dans le temps répandent les semences de la joie pour l'éternité), le livre intitulé Christliches Neues Gefangbuch, Martin Luther, Strasbourg, 1720
Condition
In overall good condition. A small bump on the edge.
The silver binding very nicely and delicately engraved. On the book flyleaf, different owners are mentioned from 1724 to 1881.
