  • Plat de présentation, Portugal, sans poinçon, vers 1670

  • Une pièce baroque à même décor très raffiné est habituellement comparée à des pièces exécutées à Londres et Hambourg à la même époque. Pourtant,  des ornements similaires se retrouvent sur un plat au poinçon de Porto (Ouriversaria..vol. II, p. 54) et sur une paire de vases sans poinçon qui appartenait, en 1679, à l'archevêque portugais de Coimbra, Alvaro de S. Boaventura (voir António Nogueria Gonçales, Estudos de Ourivesaria, Porto, 1984, p. 200-203 ).

    Le chirurgien Dr. Augusto Lamas était le chef de file du groupe de médecins portugais qui furent pionniers dans les années 1920 de l'artériographie, technique radiologique pour étudier la circulation sanguine d'un patient.

Gilding worn from centre, otherwise gilding colour very nice. General pretty good condition. Light overall wear, chasing very lively.
