Description

  • 45.7 cm; 23.5 cm; 36.8 cm
the finial with marks for Joseph Craddock and William Reid.

Condition

Overall good condition; the silver finial and cover with a small 1/8 inch diameter hole to the top in front of the crest; dents to the sides of the cover and soldering to the underside at joins with the sides; the body of the barrel with a dent to the to the top side at the front edge; dent to the right side above the lion-mask handle; some minor dents to the fronton the top side of the barrel; front and back of the barrel with minor dents; loss to the silvering of the acorn finial to the spout; some areas of polish residue in places and with rubbing and wear especially to the extremities where under-layer shows through.
