Description
Restorations.
Condition
Overall good restored condition; some minor areas of old worm damage to the rails; wear and rubbing to the legs; small chips and losses to inlay in areas; overall with old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises.
The first with old repaired breaks to the cresting rail at joins with the stiles; small loss to veneer of left spindle of splat; old repaired break to top of front right leg with a shim and some infilling;
The second with small chips and infilling to veneers of cresting rail; old repaired break to top of front right leg now with a replaced section to the inside corner at join with seat rails.
The third with small chips and infilling to veneers of cresting rail; back left leg with a plug to the top; old plugged repaired break to top of front right leg.
The fourth with two replaced molding to the sides of the cresting rail; infilling to top left corner of cresting rail; small losses and infilling; some old glue to top left leg; some infilled chips to inlaid veneers.
The fifth later plugs to top of front right leg; back legs appear to have later tenons to the rails possibly repaired; some small chips and losses to the inlaid veneers.
The sixth with some small chips and infilling to inlay; small loss to bottom of central spindle to splat.
