the rectangular compact with black lacquer doors opening to reveal an interior compartment with red and gold lacquer lid depicting a Chinese landscape, diamond mounded clasp, interior fitted with a mirror and engraved MDA; the bonbonnière of circular cushion form, the sides chased with gadroons and applied with laurel swags centered by rubies and spaced by diamond and ruby floral pendants, the cover mounted with a large baroque pearl bordered by rubies
