  • base struck twice with maker's mark only

the barrel embossed and chased with an elaborate stag hunt, the three fruit cluster feet topped by pairs of putti and fruit, the handle chased with a pendant of fruit, matching thumbpiece, cover embossed with a band of flowering foliage and with a succession of names and dates 1799 and 1673 below a running winged fox

small hole in cover in front of thumbpiece, slight rubbign to high spots, otherwise good, vigorous chasing
