Description

  • top with prestige marks, middle dated 1782, bottom with maker's mark and French control

comprising an oval box enameled with a woman lamenting the death of a bird, the base with an altar of love, the sides with bouquets, translucent green ground; the second a vinaigrette, engine-turned and mounted with a reverse crystal intaglio of a horse and jockey, in leather case; the last a vinaigrette in the form of a foot stool, enameled with a seated spaniel on a blue ground, enamel sides and base and set with a band of pearls, also with fitted box
