Condition

This canvas is in excellent condition overall. The colours are saturated and the impasto in the figures is luscious and the peaks are intact. Six inches from the top, in the centre of the canvas, there appears to be a dime-sized area of paint loss, although it is likely from the artist's studio as it does not fluoresce. There is a similar spot of loss 11 inches from the left and twenty-three inches from the bottom.
