This collection comprises six documents:
- a letter from John Glover to his daughter, Emma Lord, dated 26 August 1831, regarding settlement in Van Diemen's Land, family matters, meeting with Tasmanian Aborigines etc.
- a letter from John Richardson Glover to his sister, Mary Bowles, dated 2 February 1834, regarding settlement at Mills' Plains and incorporating a 7.2 by 11.4cm ink and wash drawing of his house
- Mary Glover's receipes for curing ham and making currant wine, with a list of family birth dates on the reverse
- a letter from John Lord to Charles Bowles, dated 20 January 1848, regarding the testatory division of their father-in-law John Glover's paintings
- a letter from a solicitor (name illegible), Evandale, Tasmania to Edwin Utley, Bank of Australasia, London, dated 19 October 1852, regarding the residuary estate of John Glover
- an unsigned and undated note from the executors of John Glover's estate to his daughter, Mary Bowles
