both canvases lined, with cracquelure, some stretcher bar marks, varnish soiled and slightly yellowed, 1 1/2 in. vertical crack to canvas of painting with calm water at upper right edge, under UV light scattered touches of inpainting to painting with rapids, varnish slightly opaque, second painting with scattered touches of inpainting, some inpainted cracquelure, dark clouds possibly strengthened
