  • height of ewer 6 1/2 in.
  • height of lady 9 3/4 in.
naturalistically modeled as a seated monkey with a smaller monkey on the lap, its left arm forming the handle. Together with a famille-verte biscuit figure of a lady, Kangxi period. Missing cover on ewer. 2 pieces.

Condition

The ewer is missing its cover, but is in otherwise good condition. There are minor chips on the spout. The glaze back of the large monkey has spots of craquelure. Minor surface scratches throughout. A fine 4 cm firing flaw to the base. The lady is in good condition with firing flaws along the back.
