Description

  • heights 18 and 19 in.
  • 45.7 and 48.3 cm
one painted with figures, the other with panels of mythical beasts and flowering plants. Drilled, both with restoration to rims.

Condition

Vase with butterflies - the base is drilled with a 1 inch diameter hole in the center. There is a 1/2 inch chip to the inner edge of the foot. There are restored cracks and repairs to the rim extending three quarters of the way around - and up to 2 1/2 inches down into the neck. There is old overspray which conceals the extent of the original damage. Vase with figures - base is drilled with a 1 inch diameter hole wiht a 2 inch hair crack extending from it. There is a small restored chip to the rim, and also an area of restoration to the rim approximately 8 inches long by a maximum of 2 1/2 inches deep. The area is oversprayed but appears to cover a break.
