Condition

Overall very good original condition. The legs are replaced, which is consistent with all examples of the model. The original placement of the bookshelf incorporated fixed legs, which were part of the interior. When removed from the Universitaire, the wooden legs were added to all the examples of the model. The top of the wood surface with some minor nicks, scratches, and dings consistent with age and use. Minor areas of discoloration, which do not detract from the overall appearance. The sliding painted panels with some minor rubbing to paint and surface dirt. All three panels move with ease. The metal dividers with some minor scratches and losses to paint along the edges. Some minor losses to the gray painted outer edge as expected. The outer metal edge frame only on three side, which is consistent in this model, and therefore the piece is intended for use against a wall.
