Condition

Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish, with some occasional light surface scratches, abrasions and edge wear (primarily reserved to the rocker runners) consistent with age and gentle use. There is an old, very worn surface abrasion (1 1/4 x 3/8 inch) with a shallow loss to the proper left front leg post (just above the seat). All of the inlay appears to be original and undisturbed, and shows tarnish and surface discoloration consistent with age. There are a few small areas of surface flaking to the darkened tarnished surfaces of the pewter revealing the original pewter finish below. With replaced caning to seat support. Lacking seat cushions. A beautiful example of this iconic rocking chair model, displaying exceptional rich color to the finish and remarkably well preserved inlay.
