Condition
Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish, with some light surface scratches, abrasions and edge wear consistent with age and use. The proper left front and back leg posts with several stress fractures inherent in the natural expansion and contraction of the wood over time, all of which appear stable. The chair retains its original leather, which is in remarkable condition. The leather surfaces throughout showing gentle surface wear, surface abrasions, surface soiling, and some occasional minor staining consistent with age and gentle use. The seat with scattered crazing to the leather, all of which appears tight and stable. The brass tacks all appear to be original and undisturbed, with light surface wear, rubbing, and minor discoloration consistent with age and use. A very handsome example showing great integrity to the original leather and brass tacks.
